We are a team and network of farmers, organizers, and abolitionists committed to careful work with the emerging Grow Food Not Prisons movement and to responsible stewardship of that movement through all we do as a team. We currently maintain an involved network of incarcerated beloveds, partners, collaborators, volunteers, and funders to continue deepening our impact.

WE FEED FOLKS

We grow nutrient dense staple crops, abolitionist sugars, and cultivate landrace seed varieties.

Working in the lineage of our elder Herman Bell, we prioritize getting food into prisons and into the hands of those in our direct community most affected by mass incarceration.

WE GET FOOD INSIDE

Our farm currently feeds 200+ low-income families through the BRIDGE Program and Westchester Food Pantries; supplies food to and organizes, delivers, and staffs distribution stands at SingSing.

WE TRAIN BLACK FARMERS

We share knowledge and skill through workshops, farm days, and season-long apprenticeships

We are slowly increasing our ability to host youth on our farm as part of an alternative to incarceration program.

WE HOST COMMUNITY FARM DAYS AND ABOLITION & WAFFLES

Our core team holds regular gathering space for our community and project partners through the community farm days, Second Saturdays with the Sweeties.

In addition to this, Abolition and Waffles are days are opportunities to work together, enjoy waffles and Sweet Freedom Syrup, and connect over the intersections of our collective work for liberation.
